  1. If you have a SCSI hard disk and one day its icon disappears from your desktop,
  2. don't panic. This is usually an indication that the PRAM on your
  3. computer has been messed up.

  5. To fix it, hold down Option-Shift-Command and open the Control Panel.

  7. Upgrading to System 6.0.2 makes the PRAM less vulnerable.
